Hello! My name is Harley Sain, and I am asking for your vote on April 1st to serve as your next New Richmond school board member. I would enjoy nothing more than to have the opportunity to serve families, staff and the community of the New Richmond School District. Since I decided to run for school board, among others, I have been supported by current board member Ben Engelhart. 

A bit about me, I grew up in Amery, WI and have lived in New Richmond since 2018. I work at the New Richmond Post Office. I have enjoyed serving this community in my role as a mail carrier for many years. I know the city routes, streets and sidewalks intimately, and have had the opportunity to meet many of you in this community. My wife, Megan is a loving, and supportive mother and wife and is a registered nurse. We have 4 children who attend the New Richmond School District. As a family, we love to fish, boat and travel. Currently, we have 1 in elementary, 1 in middle school and 2 in high school. Our kids participate in Band, Orchestra, Speech and Drama, Football and soccer. 

Good leadership is essential to any successful organization, and I hope to be able to provide good leadership as a school board member. I will keep kids first with a focus on supporting the basics of literacy, math, history and science. I will honor teacher and parental rights, while advocating to keep partisan politics out of classrooms. As one of the leaders in my family, I know firsthand how fiscal responsibility and resourcefulness is essential to success, and will bring that to the board as well. I will support new updates to existing school policies that limit internet and phone use in the classroom, support for school safety, and advocate for positive relationships and experiences for our students. I believe in hard work… Pencil to paper attitude to provide academic achievement and empowerment of every student in our district, leading to productive and responsible community members.
