Honor God

Together Let Us Rediscover how God is working in St. Croix County

Throughout the nation’s history in which government and its officials acknowledge God to be the cornerstone of our laws, liberty, and government. The first two Presidents of the United States were patrons of religion–George Washington was an Episcopal vestryman, and John Adams described himself as “a church going animal.” Both offered strong rhetorical support for religion. In his Farewell Address of September 1796, Washington called religion, as the source of morality, “a necessary spring of popular government,” while Adams claimed that statesmen “may plan and speculate for Liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand.”

Congress inserted “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954 in order to combat the rise of atheistic communism and reaffirm that “America was ‘founded on a belief in God.’” In God We Trust was first inscribed on U.S. coins in 1864 under President Lincoln, and in 1956 Congress made it the national motto of the United States. We can find God throughout our lands even the Ten Commandments are symbolized in the floor of the National Archives Building in Washington D.C.

Since its first meeting in 1774, Congress has opened its sessions with prayer, usually given by its official chaplains in both houses. The Declaration of Independence holds as “self-evident” that “all men are created equal” and “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

As your Chairman, together let us rediscover how God is working in St. Croix County. As your Chairman my vision is to leave the party not only built upon human law, but Gods law. As in Matthew 7: 24-27 Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.

As we embark on this new platform my ask over the people of St. Croix County is that they can bring their fears, hopes, candidates, churches, Pastors to this harvesting of Gods children. That your will can take hold on this party, & you can live on to bless the many believers and non-believers in the Republican Party that we haven’t met yet. That together you will show yourself to us through the stories, posts, activities, & service of our fellow citizens. As in Ecclesiastes 3:20 says; all are from the dust, and to dust all return. I know my time is like that hour glass, so please give me your grace to do my best to do my duty to God and my country.

“I believe that George Washington knew the City of Man

cannot survive without the City of God; that the Visible

City will perish without the Invisible City”
