Help Conservatives Get on The Ballot_Sign or Circulate Nomination Papers

 

Spring Elections are coming up April 1st and we have a couple of candidates looking for help gathering signatures for their required Nomination Papers. 

 

 

Brad Schimel is running for WI Supreme Court

 

  • Brad Schimel is required to get between 2,000 and 4,000 signatures to be on the ballot.
  • We in St. Croix County, being one of the bigger Counties hope to help collect at least 100 signatures for him. We need to have the papers in the mail by the 20th, so I will need to get the papers back before then.
  • Please connect with me via email or text before this date. Anyone of voting age in WI can sign his papers.

Brain Smestad is running for St. Croix County Circuit Court II Judge

 

  • Brian will need between 200 and 400 signatures to be on the ballot.
  • Thursday, December 5th from 5:00-8:00 Brian is hosting a meet n greet/fundraiser that is open to the public if anyone wants to meet him at Pitchfork Brewing in Hudson. Brad Schimel may join via Zoom!

 

NOMINATION PAPER CIRCULATION IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

 

  • People generally ask their neighbors, family and friends to sign. Their signature signifies that they are ok with Brad being on the ballot, it does not signify the voters support. 
  • IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CIRCULATORS
  • Nomination forms must not be circulated before December 1, 2024.
  • A circulator must be eligible to vote in the State of Wisconsin and be 18 years of age or older.
  • Circulators and signers may only circulate and sign nomination forms for one candidate for each office.
  • Circulators must personally collect the signatures on the nomination form. Nomination forms may not be left unattended on counters or posted on bulletin boards, etc.
  • The circulators must completely fill out his or her complete address, along with the municipality of residence. Mailing address is not sufficient.
  • The circulator must certify (sign) and date the nomination form before returning it to the campaign.
  • The circulator must not certify the nomination form until he or she is done circulating the nomination form. This means that the date of certification must be on or after the date of the last nomination signature received.
  • If you run out of nomination forms, you are free to make copies of blank nomination forms.
  • DO NOT number the page at the bottom of the nomination form. That will be done once all the nomination forms are collected.
  • IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SIGNERS
  • All signers must be eligible to vote in the state of Wisconsin and be 18 years of age or older.
  • The signer’s address of residence must always be listed. Mailing address is not sufficient.
  • Signers may only fill out one candidate’s nomination form for each particular office.
  • Signers MUST fill out the name of the municipality of residence in its entirety (i.e. write “Milwaukee” not “Milw”).
  • Signers must check the box that identifies town/city/village of residence.
  • The campaigns cannot accept nomination forms that are sent via email. – (this is in alignment with WI State Law.)
